Poroshell 120 Phenyl-Hexyl
The Poroshell 120 Phenyl-Hexyl column combines the productivity enhancements of superficially porous particle technology with Phenyl-Hexyl bonding, for alternate selectivity to C18 and C8 phases. The Phenyl-Hexyl packing is made by first chemically bonding a dense monolayer of dimethylphenylhexylsilane stationary phase to the porous outer layer. The bonded phase is then doubly endapped using proprietary reagents and procedures to obtain maximum deactivation. These columns can be used for acidic and neutral samples, but are especially suited for separating basic compunds that produce poor peak shapes on other columns.

Start with 5% methanol or acetonitrile in water as the initial solvent, and 100% methanol or acetonitrile as the final solvent. We recommend adding 0.1% formic acid in both A and B bottles. Poroshell SB-Aq can be used with 100% aqueous. If using LC/MS, we recommend starting with 5 - 10 mM ammonium formate, ammonium acetate, ammonium hydroxide, 0.1% acetic acid or 0.1% formic acid. We recommend against using ammonium bicarbonate.
