Discover novel pathways of gene regulation
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate the activity of specific mRNA targets and play crucial roles in a wide variety of biological processes, including gene expression, development, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Implicated in human diseases, miRNA expression signatures are an emerging class of molecular biomarkers.

Agilent's high-performance miRNA Microarray Platform, with its set of optimized reagents and hardware, enables comprehensive miRNA expression profiling across a broad dynamic range, allowing you to confidently elucidate the role that miRNAs play in your research. Exceptionally sensitive and selective oligonucleotide probes enable discrimination between closely related mature miRNAs. Agilent's SurePrint technology and flexible probe design allow you to easily change and update content to accommodate newly discovered sequences. An efficient direct labeling procedure enables analysis of low total RNA sample input.

Human Exon Microarrays

The Agilent SurePrint G3 Human Exon Microarrays come in two options, offering a choice in coverage and throughput. Offering probes targeting individual exons, these arrays make it possible to look beyond the gene to more subtle but relevant expression changes. Agilent Gene Expression Microarrays remain the fast, simple, and affordable choice in gene expression analysis, with new capabilities to drill down into important RNA changes including those at the exon level. Importantly, the gold standard sensitivity provided by Agilent Gene Expression Microarrays has been retained in these new Exon versions, so that even the smallest fold changes are detected.

Agilent provides the widest selection of Gene Expression solutions, offering a comprehensive portfolio with the highest array sensitivity, a proven and reliable qPCR platform, an RNA target capture kit and a committed software solution, all with a focus on quality in results. Agilent is your Gene Expression partner, providing a broad spectrum of tools across three technologies to meet your needs.

The Agilent Gene Expression Microarray Platform, prized for high performance and reliability, provides a flexible and affordable solution for gene expression studies. Catalog arrays across 30 species are available for whole-genome studies with superior 60-mer oligonucleotide probes, printed using SurePrint technology. The flexibility of this technology means that unlimited custom arrays can also be created, designed using Agilent's online application eArray.

Agilent's Gene Expression microarray platform, with its set of optimized reagents and hardware, enables highly-sensitive, highly-scalable, and highly-reproducible profiling with low RNA input amounts (down to 10 ng).
Also available are SurePrint G3 Exon Microarrays, the same level of performance and sensitivity but with comprehensive coverage down to the exon level. Exon arrays are available for human, mouse, and rat to enable multiple experiments from the same dataset: gene-level, exon-level, and splicing analysis.

After Gene Expression microarray results are obtained, Agilent's QPCR portfolio enables researchers to verify microarray results or do more detailed analysis on gene expression changes. Agilent's Mx3005P QPCR system provides reliable results in a flexible, easy to use platform. Brilliant QPCR reagents are validated on the Mx3005P QPCR platform to provide sensitive and reliable quantification down to single-copy detection and two-fold differences in expression.

An additional option in our Gene Expression portfolio is the SureSelect RNA Capture Target Enrichment Kit, enabling the target enrichment of specific transcripts of interest, or as a validation tool for whole transcriptome sequencing experiments.

Gene expression results, including microarrays, qPCR, and RNA-Seq, can be studied and summarized using GeneSpring GX and NGS software, which offers high quality analysis with an easy-to-use interface. With over 13,000 citations and an over 12 year track record, GeneSpring is the industry-leading tool for analysis of all Agilent gene expression technologies.

ChIP-on-chip

High-resolution mapping of transcriptional events
Traditional techniques for gene expression analysis have provided valuable insights towards deciphering the human genome. Characterizing the intricacies of transcriptional regulation requires analytical tools that address the complexities associated with DNA-protein interactions and binding, weaving together the fields of genomics and proteomics. For this, researchers have turned to Chromatin Immunoprecipitation and microarrays (ChIP-on-chip) to perform genome-wide location analysis of binding sites and promoter regions, yielding insight into the functional elements of gene-regulatory networks.

Agilent's ChIP-on-chip microarrays enable researchers to gain new insight into regulatory networks and transcription processes. By performing genome-wide characterization of DNA-protein binding sites and promoter occupancy, researchers can monitor the role that specific proteins play in epigenomic events, such as gene activation and repression. The Agilent ChIP-on-chip microarray combines comprehensive coverage and extreme sensitivity in an array specifically designed for location analysis, letting you perform high-resolution mapping of transcriptional activities.
